When your roof suddenly starts leaking, don't worry, there are 5 simple ways to handle it!
First, grab some towels. Use them to dry up the water. You can also stack them up to make a little wall. This helps keep the water from spreading into other rooms.
Find a few buckets. Place them right under the leaks to catch the dripping water.
If there's a lot of water, you need something bigger. A good idea is to visit your local hardware store. There, you can hire a water pump. This pump helps move all that water outside of your house, keeping things dry.
You can also use a tarp for stopping leak. But remember, climbing on the roof is risky. It's slippery, and you could get hurt. So, stay safe.
If things get too tricky, or if you're not sure what to do, the best plan is to call the SES, which is the State Emergency Service. They are a government agency and they're really good at handling these kinds of emergencies. They can come and make sure everything is safe and under control.
